Want to experience an original Hawaiian luau in a very unique setting unlike any other? Come and dine among dolphins, penguins and sea lions! This luau takes place at Sea Life Park on Oahu's southeastern tip. It's situated along the verdant Koolau Mountain Range and near the ocean. From here, you'll enjoy spectacular views of Rabbit Island just offshore and the historic lighthouse at Makapuu Point and the surrounding sea cliffs.
Sea Life Park Luau is more intimate and family-oriented than other luaus on Oahu. It boasts an exciting dolphin show and a penguin greeting prior to the luau feast. Later on, you'll witness the traditional imu ceremony, in which the kalua roast pig is unearthed from its underground oven, in which it has been slowly cooked to perfection to become a part of the later luau feast.
The luau table is set with all kinds of Hawaiian as well as continental American favorites, such as lomi lomi salmon, tako poke, sashimi, tofu with shoyu ginger, potato/macaroni salad, teriyaki beef, mahi mahi (island fish), kalua pig, laulau, poi, assorted vegetables, salads, chicken long rice, white rice, sweet potato, dinner rolls, assorted cakes, coffee and tea. You'll also receive two complimentary drink coupons.
After dinner, it's show time. Now the feast for you ears begins. You'll watch an exciting Polynesian show hosted by Tihati Productions. It features music, songs and dances from Hawaii and other Polynesian island nations.
Admission to the park is included in this luau package, so if you wish, you can come early to explore the entire park. The park opens its doors at 9:30 a.m. The luau takes place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, plus Mondays and Thursdays during the summer.
